work

When you look at a graphics card you think it’s just a thing that help you see video on your monitor but what else do you know about it. There are many things that it holds and it can help you more especially in video games if you know which one to get but first let’s learn how it works. Now when you see a monitor you see just a picture of it but if you looked closer you would see a million pixels just each holding its own little part of the image. Now just think about it how much work it takes for it to make it from binary numbers to a image and then to make sure that every little pixel is in the right place and is the right kind of color. This requires immense work and it’s all packed in something that’s around the size of your hand maybe even smaller. Now its pretty simple when you look at it the CPU send the data to the graphics card then the graphics card creates a wire frame of the image if it’s in 3D then it rasterizes the image (fills in with color) when it is like a video game it has to go through this process about 60 frames per second. If it wasn’t for the graphic card it would be to much for the computer and may burn out. The graphics card accomplishes this task using four main components a motherboard connection for data and power, a processor to decide what to do with each pixel on the screen memory to hold information about each pixel and to temporarily store completed pictures on a monitor connection so you can see the final result.
